What are the advantages?

As a member of the Royal Belgian Society for Conchology, …

You regularly receive our scientific magazine ‘Gloria Maris’
You can participate in all activities organised by the Society
You can borrow literature from our library
You stay up-to-date with what is happening in the world of molluscs
You can get support from specialists in specific families or subjects, or for the science as such.

What do we do?

We gather every month (without obligation) and an activity is each time foreseen, going from a presentation to a travel report to an exchange-day, workshop or even a barbeque.
Work groups can have separate gatherings or excursions. It is up to you to choose and decide whether you want to take part in those or not.
The library is open every month at the monthly meeting, and you can consult or borrow literature. A list of literature “in stock” is available, and those books can be brought along upon request.
Once per year, we organise our International Shell Show.

What does it cost?

Membership is renewable annually, and costs as of 2026:

40€ for Belgian residents.
43€ for Dutch residents.
50€ for residents outside Belgium or The Netherlands.

In practice

Choose a strong password which complies to parameters
Click Register to confirm your registration.

We will conform your registrations as soon as possible, and – if applicable – grant access as soon as payment has been received.
