The workgroup studied the marine family Neritidae – a rather small family of usually rather small, spherical shells with a typical diameter of 2 cm.
It executed a revision of this family, each time looking at each species in detail based on the original description and images, later published opinions, comparison with material from own reference collections and – if possible – photographs of the type material.
